Overhead Pressing and Deadlifts

Felt like shit all day today, had an upset stomach and just felt shitty overall, but I was ready to train hell or high water.

Strongman day

Overall today was a great day of training. I trainined everything at around 90% today, enough to let me know where I am at, but not enough to burn me out.

Axle Clean and press for reps
220 x 5
These felt good, but my legs were wobbly, way off my best. No biggie.

Arm over arm truck pull with GMC Jimmy up a slight grade
1 set x 60 feet, felt good, nice and consistent pulls.

12" starting height DL
455 lbs x 6 reps, up and down command. I hook gripped these and it fucking hurt. I think I could have done 2 more but my thumbs were killing me.

230-250 stone over 48" bar
10 reps, did 7 in under a minute kept going to get 10.


Prowler push
5 trips of 80 feet.

Great day of training. I know now where I am at strength wise and what to work on. Feeling excited again.

Benching, squatting, and upperbody work.

Feeling very motivated, found a contest to train for and I forgot that feeling of motivation to have something to train for. Plus I got my time off approved, so it is go time.

Sunday training

I woke up on this day feeling like hell, very tired, and very unmotivated. While I didn't do anything great, it turned out to be a halfway decent day.

Did some Circus DB to start
It sucked massively, don't wanna talk about it.

Axle clean and press, usually I do this on tuesday, but I figured why not.

240 x 3 Not a PR, but most I have pressed in a long time.

Farmers Walk/Sled Drag medley
210 farmers/400lb backwards sled drag.
2 sets of the medley
1 set of 210 farmers to get them back up to the gym.

worked up to 219lbs each hand.

Stone shouldering
210lbs stone x 5

Core work
4 sets

Feeling a little down, no real reason just am. I am starting to wonder if I will ever get as strong as I was, or stronger. Some days I don't really care if I do, and then other days I really want it. I think a lot of it is I just miss competing, if I could get a competition under my belt and do halfway decent, I would probably be out of my funk.

worked up to 132lbs x 1 which I believe is a PR, I hate this lift.

Strongman day, celebrating Troy's 26th Bday.

We trained later in the day today, I had my brother in town and I wanted to spend as much time as possible with him.  It was a great day of training.
